Children had so much fun painting the Easter bunnies and finishing off their projects today.
Thank you all for your support. We look forward to another creative and artistic term! Year 5 & 6 students created some beautiful landscape paintings 'the dawn'. They learned to paint gradient colours and using the #2 finest point brush to paint fine details.
Children first designed various patterns and painted the colourful cats. They then painted a contrasting night starry sky background. Children were encouraged to mix paint to create the colours they want.
The senior students in Years 5 & 6 were working on some technique-focused projects, while the other children were painting some lovely cats with various patterns they designed. Our art projects and instructions are differentiated according to a range of levels.
Today we were working on these awesome pop-up butterflies! It's a painting + paper craft project. Children also learned to make some origami flowers. Today we had so much fun working on our canvas painting. Children painted the colourful seashells and decorated their painting with sand and rocks carefully. Through this project we learned different art techniques such as: - Painting a gradient background - dabbing technique - applying various materials to create a different texture. We started painting the canvas 'summer beach waves' today. We learned how to paint waves with directional brush stroking, and the use of appropriate colours. We will add more elements such as the seashells to our painting next week :)
